Blanca Estela Salinas, age 65, was called to be with her beloved mother, Maria Flores, to her eternal resting place on Sunday, February 28, 2021, in Houston, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chicago and spent most of her life raising her 5 beautiful children in Corpus Christi, TX.
She is survived by the father of her 5 children, Robert Salinas; her 5 children, Bobby, Jeanette, Robert, Noe, and Jacob; and 6 grandchildren; Atreyu, Michaela, Brody, Maiah, Phoenix, and Padmé.
She cherished time with her 5 children and was their biggest cheerleader and advocate. She treasured her 6 grandchildren and always supported them, made time for countless sleepovers, and made sure they each felt her love. She spent decades volunteering at Tuloso Midway ISD and dedicated her final years to working at CCISD and the American Bank Center. Her faith was guided by her friendships within the devoted community at St. Peter’s Catholic Church and fellowship within the Eucharistic Ministry. She left her mark on those she touched in the community, and she will be remembered as a bright, shining light who brought life to every gathering.
A Visitation will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary will be recited on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 9:30AM with the Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00AM at St. Peter Prince of the Apostle Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas.
