Billie "Dorie" Rosson

Billie Delores "Dorie" Rosson, 66, beloved Wife of 47 years, was called to her eternal resting place on June 7, 2021. She entered this world on July 19, 1954 in Pasadena, Texas, born to William and Billie Little. She is survived by her husband, David Rosson.

Dorie was a graduate of the class of 1972 from Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, Texas and it was in that same city where she then met her husband, David William Rosson.

Dorie was a wonderful wife, mom, Mamaw and friend. She absolutely adored her husband and spent her days along side of him. She loved to love and give hugs and especially showed her love for the grandkids and bonus grandkids that lit up her world. Dorie was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was also a traveler and a fan of friendly competition as she especially enjoyed to out fish her husband and win tournaments. She enjoyed yelling through the TV while watching and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. Most of her spare time was spent supporting each grandkid and their sporting events, cheering them on and yelling at the umpires! Her presence will definitely be missed and noticed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Billie Jo Little and her brother, Duane Little.

Left to cherish her wonderful memory are her husband, the love of her life, David William Rosson; children, Kimberly Budell (Joe), Crystal Barr (Trevor) and Timothy Rosson (Nicole); sister, Vickie Little; niece, Jennifer Dawn Blanchard and grandkids, Douglas Thomas, Brianna Zapata, Tanner Budell, Tylor Barr, Caylynn Barr, Trenton Budell, Trinity Rosson, Hunter Rosson, Seth Rosson, Caleb Barr and Ava Grace Budell.

Pallbearers for the services will be her cherished grandsons.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas. The family will celebrate her memory by wearing her favorite color purple. Those that would like to celebrate with them are welcomed to do the same. The Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 10:00AM at The Grove: First Baptist Church in Orange Grove, Texas. Interment will follow the Celebration of Life at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
