Billie Rech

Billie Joe “Kathleen” Potts Rech passed away on January 18, 2019 at age 93. Billie was born on January 5, 1926 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At the age of 16, this city girl moved to the country, Tahlequah (Eldon) Oklahoma. There she met the love of her life, Tom Rech. They were separated by World War II for two years, but later married and settled down to raise three kids. Farming was too unpredictable, so the family moved to Tulsa, where a fourth child was born. In 1967 the family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where Billie lived the remainder of her life. She is predeceased by her parents, brother and husband. She is survived by her children, Eddie (Diann) Rech, Pauletta (Bob) Snyder, Katy (James) Wharton and Tommy (Cindy) Rech: grandchildren, Billy (Wendy) Snyder, Steve (Vanessa) Snyder, Karen (Rene) Curiel, David (Misty) Wharton, Tanya (Nick) Nichols, Vicky (Addison) Weaver, Cordell Rech, Shelly, Mike and Cole; numerous great grandchildren; her best four legged friend of the past 14 years, Daisy May. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Wednesday, January 23, 2019, in Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cordell Rech, David Wharton, Billy Snyder, Ryan Wharton, Matthew Wharton and Nathan Snyder. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Snyder, Brandon Curiel and Mykall Murphy. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to Arlington Heights Church of Christ. The family wishes to thank Angel Care, in particular Roxanne Mathis and Brinda Myers for their loving care of Mom, and New Century Hospice.
