Sue Ahrens, Our Queen, went to be with Jesus on August 19th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Russell & Ruth Roper in Corpus Christi, on November 7th, 1939. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, JB Dillahunty & Bill Ahrens, her children’s daddy, Kenneth Crow, four siblings, her son, Bobby Crow, two grandchildren and two step-children. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Bill) Hall, Tonya (Jon) Schroeder, one sister, Ann (Earl) Patrick, 7 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 step-children and their families, numerous nieces and nephews. She was survived by her best friend of 55 years, Ellen Munson.
One of her proudest accomplishments was being a special needs bus driver for Calallen for 22 years. She was Mom, Nanny and friend to countless others. She loved and served her church, Jesus and others for more years than we can remember. She was a blessing to many and will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank her devoted caregiver, Laura Vela, whom she loved as her own; Devoted Hospice, The Villa Northwest & Anna Chavez for their most tender care. Many of them shared that she touched their lives for the better and this was a hard loss for them as well. We are forever grateful for the way they treated our Queen.
