Bettie Rowland

Bettie Rose Rowland, 85, of Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 surrounded by her family. Bettie was born in Adel, GA on October 26, 1932. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Juanita Strawder, as well as her siblings, Buddy and Mary and her husband, Billy Joe Rowland. She is survived by her brother, Larry (Maxine) Strawder and sister, Ouida (Bernie) Biagiano. Bettie and Billy had one daughter, Penny Smith, 2 grandsons, Ryan (Tanna) and Kyle (Sarah) Smith and 4 great grandchildren, Brayden, Ethan, Addy and Mia. Bettie will always be remembered for the great cook she was and never letting anyone leave her home with an empty stomach. After retiring from Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator, her focus and passions were her two grandsons, her dogs and being outside working in her garden. Bettie was a WONDERFUL woman who was known to have a heart of gold and always lend a helping hand. She will be dearly missed, but ask that those who want to celebrate her life, join us for a graveside service Saturday, March 31st, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Seaside Memorial Park.
