Bettie was born in Woodsboro on March 30, 1938. She graduated from Woodsboro High School in 1956, where she was a member of the basketball and volleyball teams, along with playing the drums in the band and being a cheerleader. She attended Durham’s Business College in Corpus Christi. Bettie was a very dedicated employee where she worked in the accounting department at Berry Contracting for 38 years.
Bettie stayed very active throughout her life. She was an avid fisherman and bird hunter. She enjoyed many hours with her husband, JD, riding in their boat, camping at the beach, and just sitting on a stool shooting dove. She loved her family very much and bragged on all of them often. From trips with her daughters to watching sporting events of her grandchildren, she enjoyed the time she spent with her family. She also loved doing yard work and building wood projects with her husband. Bettie loved to read and later in life continued by listening to many books. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A private Celebration of Life will be held with her family on April 9th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Bettie Ann Gregorczyk Dolph to your favorite charity.
