Barry Baker

Barry James Baker (58) of Odem, Texas passed away on August 17, 2018.Barry was born in Sidney, Montana on November 26, 1959 to Joan and Wilbur Baker. He grew up on the family ranch in Richey, Montana with his brother, Gary Baker, and sister, Leann (Kevin) Pignone. He graduated from Richey High School in 1977. He married his best friend, Charlene, on July 8, 1989. They relocated to Texas to further his career in the refinery industry. He is survived by five daughters: Danielle, Lisa, Adrian, Taera (Timmy) and Tawnee (Vanessa); as well as twelve grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Joan Baker (mother), Jenilee Carter (daughter), and Wilbur Baker (father).Barry was an avid hunter and fisherman. His spare time was enjoyed with his family. Outdoors was where he felt the best; grilling out, working in his yard, and breathing in the fresh air were his favorite activities. From the boots to the hat, the family ranch instilled in him the cowboy spirit. One of his proudest achievement was helping Refined Technologies Inc. expand and build their company to its current potential. He gave their Western expansion all he had. He had the utmost respect, from and for everyone. He was incredibly personable which made him everyone's best friend. Ever the logical thinker, he was the cornerstone and foundation of the family. His reliability and kindness as a husband, father, Papa, brother, son, coworker, and friend was incomparable. The memorial service will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas on Friday at 1pm the 24th of August 2018.
