Barbara Stone

Barbara Korff Stone, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother died peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2016, surrounded by family. She passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 6, 1942 in Woodsboro, Texas to Ervin and Minnie Korff. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ervin Korff Jr., a sister, Ida Salch, and two brothers-in-law, Herbert Salch and Danny Salch. She is survived by her husband, Roy Neal Stone; two sons, Guy Neal (Ellie) Stone and Kevin Neal (Amy) Stone; a daughter, Tabitha (Jeffrey) Stone Lugg. She is also survived by her grandchildren, William Stone, Jo Marie Stone, Samuel Stone, Margaret Stone, Wesley Lugg, and Kaitlyn Lugg. In addition, she is survived by a sister, Dorothy Salch; two brothers, Phillip Ray Korff and Edgar Roy Korff; a sister-in-law, Annette Korff; and numerous nieces and nephews. She married the love of her life in 1961 and together they shared 54 years of marriage. She is best remembered by those who loved her for her passion and devotion to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and embroidery. Services will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral home in Calallen. Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm and the funeral will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 10am. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown. Pallbearers are Guy Stone, Kevin Stone, Jeffrey Lugg, William Stone, Samuel Stone, and Wesley Lugg. Honorary pallbearers are Jo Marie Stone, Margaret Stone, and Kaitlyn Lugg.
