Barbara Hamilton

Barbara Joan Hamilton, 81 of Kerrville Texas passed away Monday, September 21, 2015. She was born March 23, 1934 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Samuel Vernon Collins and Maude Murel Collins. Barbara was happiest when she was caring for others. She worked as a nurse for most of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed. Barbara is survived by her children, Jerry and his wife Rhonda Comstock of Manhattan Beach California, Jim and his wife Sue Comstock of Victoria Texas, Jeff and his wife Robin Comstock of Port Aransas Texas, Janet Simoneau of New Braunfels Texas, and Josh and his wife Yevette Comstock of Cypress Texas. Her brothers, Sam Collins, James Cray and Pete Schanen, and her sister Marilyn Dillard. She has 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Leo Schanen, her husband, Richard Hamilton and sister, Elinor Collins. A memorial service will be held in Corpus Christi on October 9, 2015 at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home located at 12497 Leopard St. Corpus Christi, Texas at 2:00 pm.
