Archetta Langley, 94, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Monday, November 12, 2012. She was born January 4, 1918 in Clark County, West Virginia to Cletus and Lela Caroline Moss Clark. She married Vernon Eugene Langley on June 20, 1936 in Lone Grove, Oklahoma. Archetta was a church secretary for many years at the First United Methodist Church in Pampa, Texas and at Grace United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed playing bridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernon in 1974, and two grandsons, Kevin and Mark V. Langley. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Alvin) Scott of Lake Corpus Christi, Texas; her son, Bill (Dorothy) Langley of Pampa, Texas; three grandchildren, Leslie (Trace) Wunsch of Weesatche, Texas, Monty (Sherry) Scott of Austin, Texas and Scott A. (Sharlan) Langley of Pampa, Texas; nine great grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, November 16, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church with The Rev. Stan Whites officiating.
