Annie Mary Schonhoeft, 86, passed away at her home on July 27, 2023. She was born on the family farm on September 14, 1936, to Joe and Theresa Bockholt Schonhoeft. She was a lifelong resident of Violet, Texas and a graduate of St. John’s High School in Robstown, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters, Katherine (Sylvester) Hoelscher and Agnes Marion; and three brothers, Henry (Sandra) Schonhoeft, Frank (Mary Beth) Schonhoeft and Anton Schonhoeft. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Bea Schonhoeft; brother-in-law, Charles Marion, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She devoted most of her life as the caregiver to her mother and also worked 35 years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, retiring from Robstown Riverside Hospital.
She was self-reliant and enjoyed driving her car to complete her daily tasks.
Services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Violet on Thursday, August 3, 2023 with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:30 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
