Allen O. Herrmann, 74, of Banquete, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011. He was born January 18, 1937 in Banquete, Texas to Lee Emil Herrmann, Sr. and Paula Anita Dolle Herrmann. He served in the National Guard. Allen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Robstown, was a Director of the Live Oak and South Texas Beefmasters Association and was a member of the National Beefmasters Association. Allen was a Past President of the Banquete Lions Club, was a past board member for the Banquete I.S.D. and was active in the Country Center Morning Coffee Club. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lee Herrmann, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Judy Rawls Herrmann of Banquete, Texas; his children, Jim (Ronda) Herrmann of Carrollton, Texas, Robert (Shannon) Herrmann of Bryan, Texas, Kim (Jeff) Canfield of Dover, New Hampshire, and Laura (James) Osborne of Alpine, Texas; his brother, Donald Wayne (Kathy) Herrmann of Banquete, Texas; his sister-in-law, Yvonne Herrmann of Banquete, Texas: thirteen grandsons, Dustin, Chase and Mason Herrmann, Matthew, Forrest and Christian Herrmann, Cole Canfield, Cameron and Griffin Carlin, Belle, Seth, Joseph and Morgan Osborne: numerous nieces and nephews, friend, Leopolo Resendez and his former wife, Cindy Howze. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeffrey Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Rob Herrmann, Jim Herrmann, Randy Rodriguez, Lee Herrmann, III, John Herrmann, Joe Herrmann, Scott Herrmann, Doug Holtzclaw and Eric Bluntzer.
