Allen Esparza

Allen Joseph Esparza of Robstown, TX. passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021 at his home. He was 68 years old. Allen was born to parents Joseph and Lucille (Just) Esparza on July 28, 1952 in Robstown and was a lifelong resident. Over the years he worked at Robstown Hardware as a Small Engine Mechanic, in addition to time spent working at Schlumberger Oil Company, and K & R Compressors.  Allen was a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he served as a past Grand Knight. He was also a member of the SW Cattle Raisers Association, and a devoted member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, where he served as an Usher for many years. Allen enjoyed fishing, hunting, and barbequing.

Allen is survived by his brother, Mark (Cheryl) Esparza of Corpus Christi, TX.; sister, Janette (Ken) Garner of Bryan, TX.; niece, Kendra Hannon of Leander, TX.; nephews, Michael Esparza and Andrew Jones of Corpus Christi, TX., and Justin and Jordan Garner of Bryan. TX.; in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Visitation will be held Friday, February 26th from 5-7 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7 pm at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will take place Saturday, Feb. 27th at Noon at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Robstown. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
