Alice Spicak

Alice Margaret Spicak (Ondrusek), loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, returned to the arms of our Lord at 1 p.m. Sept. 12, 2021, at age 95.

A native of Alice, Texas, Alice was born to Anton and Isabella Ondrusek on May 3, 1926. Alice was one of six children, including her sisters Elizabeth Eicher (deceased), Dorothy Byrne, Celeste Pakebusch and Katherine Gilbert, and her brother Dan Ondrusek.

On May 4, 1948, Alice married Vladimir Spicak (deceased) and settled down in Robstown, Texas. Over their more than 50 years of marriage, they raised five sons together: Mark, Gary (Mary “Ning”), David (Rosy), Paul and Ray. Alice also leaves behind six grandchildren: Diandra, Alyssa, Darrien, Itzel, Itzamara and Davy.

Sharp as a tack, Alice could remember the littlest details – and oftentimes, she’d be the one to call on when a family member had a question about someone or something. She loved baking, especially sugar cookies, and she is remembered as caring and kind.

The family extends their deepest and warmest thanks to Laura Whitman, who lovingly cared for Alice over the past three years.

A visitation is scheduled for 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sept, 20, 2021, at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard St., Corpus Christi, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at St. John’s Catholic Church in Robstown (located at 603 N. 1st St.) at 12:00 p.m. Sept. 21, 2021, with the Funeral Mass to follow at 12:30 p.m.

Alice will be interred at Memorial Cemetery, 4607 FM 1889, Robstown, Texas, at 2:00p.m.
