Alice Rektorik

Alice Rektorik was born July 14, 1929 in Moulton, Texas to Charles J. and Julia Tousek. She attended school in Moulton. She moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where she worked for a couple who had two small children. She met Archie Rektorik there and they married in 1948. They resided in Robstown, Texas where they raised two daughters. Alice worked in school cafeteria service for several years. She and Archie loved to dance and spent many wonderful nights enjoying their friends and the music. He preceded her in death. Alice is survived by two daughters, Sharon Prendergast of Oakdale, California and Cindy Shepherd of Eustis, Florida. She is also survived by four grandsons, Jeffrey Loesch of Trophy Club, Texas, Jason Loesch of Lake Jackson, Texas, Chad Kimball of Florida and Chris Shepherd of Corpus Christi. Alice has two great granddaughters and two great grandsons. Other family members still surviving are Alice’s sisters, Bess Ammerman, Martha Harrison and Mary Ann Joyce. The Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 A.M. Monday, June 19, 2017 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Loesch, Jason Loesch, Chad Kimball, John Prendergast, Craig Shepherd and Michael Rektorik.
