Alice Hinze

Alice Ella Henke Hinze, age 92, of Robstown, Texas passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015. She was born to Albert and Clara Evers Henke in Fredericksburg, Texas on October 23. 1922. On April 25th, 1946 Alice married Alfred Fred Hinze at the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred. Alice is survived by a sister, Bernice Moehr of Fredericksburg, Texas; a sister-in-law, Dolores Hinze of Katy, Texas; three daughters, Charlene (John) Blackwell of San Antonio, Texas, Barbara (Ronny) Nemec of Robstown, Texas, Sherry (Carl) Swierc of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Marci (Kurt) VandenHouten, Kevin (Hayley) Blackwell, Becky (Brian) Hammond, Lesli (Ben) Gwynn, Megan (Clay) Bearden, Morgan Swierc; ten great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church on Hwy. 77 in Robstown, Texas. Interment will follow in the Robstown Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund. The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the staff at Garden Estates Assisted Living and the staff on the 4th floor at Holmgreen Center for all their love and care shown to our mother.
