Alex Pullin, Sr.

Alex O. Pullin, Sr., 88, of Sandia, Texas, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 after a long illness. He was born September 18, 1921 in Whitsett, Texas to Charles David and Amelia Heman Coleman Pullin. Mr. Pullin retired from Champlin Refinery after 38 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Annette Pullin and a daughter, Nelda Champion. He is survived by his sons, Larry (Doris) Pullin of Corpus Christi, Texas and Alex O. (Janie) Pullin, Jr. of Sandia, Texas; his son-in-law, Jerry Champion of New Braunfels, Texas; grandchildren, O’Neal Champion, Kelli Rozypal, Stacy Jacobsen, Chris Pullin and Jason Pullin; 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, May 14, 2010 at Cenizo Hill Cemetery in Mathis, Texas with Mack Stallcup officiating. Burial will follow.
