Alex Oliver

Alex Oliver, 69, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011. He was born May 26, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Alexander Brown Oliver, Sr. and Edith Skeels Oliver. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Oliver of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sons, Charlie Oliver of San Antonio, Texas, Jerry (Beth) Oliver of Edwards, Colorado and Danny (Mindy) Oliver of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren, Kara, Lauren, Emerson and Fisher Oliver. Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until 7 P.M. with the family present from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Mark Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the Women's Shelter.
