Adelina Carranza

Adelina Carranza, 79, of Alice, Texas, passed away on December 15, 2021. She was born in Laredo, Texas on October 14, 1942 to Juanita Ruiz and Enrique Carranza.
Adelina attended Miller High School and pursued her college training at Del Mar College. She was a member of San Diego Family Worship Center in San Diego, Texas. Adelina had a passion for art and spending time with her family and friends. She was a longtime teacher at Tuloso-Midway Independent School District and retired after many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Enrique and Juana Carranza; spouse, Serafin Joe Leal; daughter, Rose “Rosie” Elva Carranza and sister, Minerva Gutierrez.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melissa Leal Cadena (David Jr.); brother, Enrique Carranza (Oralia); sister, Alma Alicia Garza; grandchildren, Anndrea Leanne Ybarra, Matthew Ryan Ybarra, Christian Jared Ybarra; great grandchild, Ryland Joe Ybarra; Sister in Christ, Ofelia Reyes (Jose); nieces and nephews, Julian Garza (Carol), Maggie Walters (Keith), Vanessa Spittler (Chris), Monica Castillo (Gilbert), Veronica Garza, Estevan Garza (Letty), Aaron Carranza (Judy), Enrique Carranza (Susan); friends, Ofelia Reyes, Joann, Yolanda Cruz, Mary Lou Navarijo, Laura Lee Cirillo, James Bueno, Cynthia Besosa, Libby Mcgee, Terry Green and Irma Mora.
A visitation will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00AM. The services will conclude at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.
